Clients of Valutrades can sign up for one of three available account types: Standard, Row and VIP. The Standard and Row accounts are both suitable for regular and inexperienced traders alike, since they allow trading in micro lots and the minimum deposit required is $100. The Standard account is commission-free and the Row one is commission based, providing row market spreads, as its name suggests. Both Standard and Row account holders may use leverage up to 1:400, however the ones with deposit amounts ranging from $20 000 and $100 000 are provided with a maximum leverage level of 1:200.

The Company

Valutrades (formerly Monex Capital) is a UK subsidiary of Indonesian Forex broker Monex Investindo Futures, operating under the license and supervision of Indonesia’s commodity futures trading regulatory agency (BAPPEBTI).

The London-based broker offers trading in currency pairs, index and commodity CFDs and commodities (gold, crude oil and silver) through the famous MetaTrader 4 platform.

Security of Funds

Valutrades Ltd., doing business as Valutrades, is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

All FCA-regulated firms are required to comply with certain requirements and procedures. Consequently, Valutrades is subject to client money rules set by UK’s financial watchdog and keeps all client money separated from the company`s operating funds into segregated accounts held at an approved bank in the EEA, currently this is Barclays.

What is more, FCA-regulated brokers are obliged to hold at least €730 000 in order to prove their financial stability. Regulatory authorities in most jurisdictions set similar minimum capital requirements to providers of financial services. For instance, Cyprus-based brokers are required to possess at least €1,000,000 in order to conduct their business activities legitimately.

In the event of a shortfall, Valutrades clients may be entitled to compensation from the Financial Services Compensation Scheme - UK’s compensation fund of last resort for customers of licended companies, where the maximum compensation cover is £50,000 per person.

Trading Conditions

Minimum Initial Deposit
Traders are required to deposit $100 in order to open an account with Valutrade, which is an average minimum initial deposit. In comparison, other FCA-regulated forex brokers, like Forex.com, require $250, and HY Markets - $50.

Average spreads & Commissions
The spreads of Valutrades are average, amounting to 1.2 pips on EUR/USD, however clients take advantage of commission-free trading on most accounts, except the Row one, which offers average spreads of 0.2 pips on EUR/USD and involves a commission fee of $5 per lot (per side).

In comparison, FxPro offers average spread of 1.4 pips on the EUR/USD for its commission-free accounts and average spreads as low as 0.4 pips on the EUR/USD for its cTrader accounts, charged $4.5 per standard lot.

Leverage
The maximum leverage rates Valutrades offers are comparatively high, reaching 1:400. Such leverage is considered comparatively high, although many other FCA-regulated brokers offer similar or higher leverage rates: FXCM offers leverage up to 1:200; FxPro - up to 1:500 and XM – up to 1:888. More forex brokers offering leverage equal to or exceeding 1:500 can be viewed here.

Traders, however, should be careful, for higher leverage may multiply their earnings on a small deposit, but it may also lead to heavy losses. That is why limitations on leverage rates are set in some jurisdictions.

With a broker for two years, I withdraw my funds from the Valutrades company and because I take a lot of money, I myself am at fault.

They have a stop / out -50%.
With my aggressive trading, the broker needs to go with a 100% stop / out ...

Terrible and terori ... broker

Yesterday I was charged more than 50% of the swap announced eurtry, obviously I close the positions, today long 2200 short 2542 in points, Valu pay in short EUTRY more than in long? 300X450
in the afternoon + -320X770.

today I closed gbpusd same swaps problem.

These symbols are based on a futures pricing model and this means that from time to time the underlying futures contract will change. When this happens the timing will be announced above and at this time anyone holding a position in the relevant symbol will see the tradable price move and at the same time have a cash adjustment for the equivalent P & L of the price moves the net effect to the client is no change in P & L.

Valutrades is a bad broker. They make it difficult to withdraw values as much as they can, so they will not be able to perform the procedure. In addition it has high spreads, adding the spread with the commission is much more expensive to operate with it than with several other brokerages. I do not advise you at all.

I am very sorry that your experienced what you feel is less than a perfect experience and want to reassure you that we take your feedback seriously.

In regard to the withdrawal I do not it did take 3 days (although over a weekend) due to a compliance issue with a third party payment provider. Once we were able to confirm the details we provided alternative withdrawal method. We unfortunately can not be respnsible for the third party providers procedures and now the alternative method is approved you would not face similar issues if you used this method again.

We are constantly working to make our pricing the most competitive in the market. With ECN commission only USD 6 per lot round turn we believe this is one of the most competitive price offerings of any broker. Our spreads are determined by our underlying liquidity providers of which we are constantly adding new ones and improving all the time. Reently we have added a very good LP for EURUSD and some other major pairs and spreads are looking good.

One of the best ECN brokers!
This is a follow-up review:
I'm an experienced forex day-trader and can tell you that Valutrades is one of the very rare true ECN brokers. Their spreads for major pairs are top-notch, execution is also very good and the customer support dedicated. The only disadvantage is that they don't offer the mql5.com's signal service within their MT4 application but this is due to the very strong regulation thru FCA in UK.

Update: Meanwhile the mql5.com signals service can also be used!

Excellent customer service, withdrawal via Skrill is quite fast and there is no charge to make a deposit or withdrawal, tight spreads, commissions of $6/lot are relatively low when compared to some ASIC-regulated brokers. I think they deserve to be given a 6 star if any.
