Is Forex a good investment?
I will try to simplify the answer without going too much into detail to keep it clear.
Forex can be a very good investment compared to stocks.
The advantage of a forex investment is that the trader is using leverage.
Trading stocks can also be done by trading options to use leverage, but those contracts will only have value if the projection was right within a certain timeframe.
If that contract has no value, the option expires and your cash is gone.
Forex does not have to look for a buyer to take your position out, any time the trader wants, the trade can be closed during trading hours. For investors, Forex is a good way to make a nice ROI, but it can also take risks with it.
As always, finding good account managers is very important.
A suggestion might be to use a Forex investment to fund other investments like real-estate projects, buying into companies or ventures, developing etc. in your portfolio and diversify depending on tax regulations in your country.

There is no good or bad investment , there is a ROI Risk which consider if its high or medium or low risk depends on the Equity you will start to invest with.
You cant Sell your house or car to add money into Fx, since there is no grantee into a high risk investment , but also high risk = high return.
So this is why they keep repeating only invest what you allow to lose, but since they marketing FX lately as its the dream to get rich quick , dont believe this.
If you make monthly 2%, this is 24% per year which is really so good than normal investments and this is low risk portfolio, but since most of Traders who enter into FX investment are so Greedy they want to make double and triple the accounts each month, and they can , but they cant keep doing it each single month, so it turn more to gambling than trading.
PS: dont forget first of all its a bank business, do you think banks keep losing money !!! Think it wise and keep learning which is the only success into Fx investment, otherwise leave it to professional trader who can help you out.
Every day, trillions of dollars are traded on the forex market, which influences other asset classes.
Forex market participants include governments, businesses, and of course, investors. Governments use the forex market to implement policies.

Is it possible to make a lot of money in speculation?
There are currency traders who speculate and make a lot of money for themselves and their clients. I’ve written a bit about Victor Niederhoffer here:
Reid Butler's answer to Can forex trading make you a millionaire?
However, if you don’t have a lot of capital to trade, then I suggest you do some research into DIBS trading, which is a kind of “Holy Grail” trade with low risk and potentially high returns…in a short time frame.
Reid Butler's answer to Are any entrepreneurs on Quora interested in earning an additional income through forex trading?
Generally a lot of investors think about foreign currency risk as uncompensated risk. In other words, there's not a real logical reason that holding a foreign currency should have a positive-expected return over the long tun. This is in contrast to assets like stocks, bonds, or commodity futures where markets have been constructed to compensate investors for taking on risk by buying and holding these assets. For this reason, many entities with foreign currency exposure seek to hedge that exposure and eliminate it.
If you believe this, then you wouldn't want to buy and hold currency as an investment because it would simply provide you with no real return in exchange for its volatility. On the other hand, if you were seeking to actively trade, there are certainly plenty of people who actively trade currencies and make money off of it. But this requires world class expertise since you will be competing against these players. So I would only do that if you were confident in your abilities and/or access to information.

This is an odd question, because “US Forex” is not something you can invest in. Your question might be “Is it best to invest via US forex brokers?” or alternately “Is investing in the US Dollar profitable?”
Because of different consumer protection laws, forex investing in the US is very restricted, more so than in other countries. In any case, with whatever brokerage you use you will have to prove your country of residence, so unless you live in the US when you open your account, you will be barred.
As far as forex trading in USD, it is the most traded currency in the world, so it is “good” from the standpoint that the spreads tend to be the lowest versus currency pairs that do not include the USD. However, forex investing is quite different from stock or mutual fund investing, and should really only be considered by people who really like heavy analysis. In other words, amateurs will lose their shirts.
Forex can be a very good investment compared to stocks. The advantage of a forex investment is that the trader is using leverage. ... Forex does not have to look for a buyer to take your position out, any time the trader wants, the trade can be closed during trading hours.
Is forex trading profitable? This question has been debated for quite some time. This is due to the fact that many investors haven't had the success forex trading they had imagined, and their experiences have subsequently cast a shadow of doubt on its viability as an investment choice.
However, for a market that trades around $5 trillion daily in volume, it stands to reason that there are traders profiting from Forex, otherwise, the Forex market would have become unpopular and faded out. The question to ask then, is not if Forex is profitable, but how to trade Forex profitably and how to be in Forex.
Like any other type of investment, Forex trading has its inherent risks and potential for profitability or loss, and knowing how to mitigate these risks goes a long way in determining your own Forex trading profit or loss. Sometimes, people get carried away by the success of someone else who achieved Forex trading profit, and then throw their own money into the market, without first finding out how the profit came about.
To trade Forex and achieve profits with this, you need to buy low and sell high. This is one of the best things about the Forex market, as you can easily not only purchase the assets, but sell them without owning them.
Of course, if profitable Forex trading was that easy, there would be millions of online traders making large sums of money every day. In fact, the situation is quite the opposite. Most Forex traders actually lose money, and it is quite a challenge to start profiting with Forex.
Yes, it is, but not for people who think they will make a lot of money just by clicking on a buy or sell button.
They really need to know why they are buying or selling. They must have a strategy that they know has been profitable for the last year or two. And most likely it will be profitable in the future. Forex is good for medium-term traders. Because:
For short-term it will be bad because of spread and swap charges.
For the long-term, it will be nerve because they will have to wait about half a year to close the trade.
So if you're a medium-term trader, forex is a good investment for you. However, invest through companies that are not fraudulent and with other traders. Such as RoboForex.
I am personally medium-term trader so for me it’s good. I know many long-term traders and they rather trade indices or stocks. For short-term traders I think there is nothing to be profitable with. Because swaps and spreads are too high.
Yes it is, however if you are gambler, you will be more succesfull in casino or or machines (just kidding, don’t do that too)
You just need to take Forex as investment, not gambling. Don’t expect that you will deposit $5 and you will make $1 million dollars. YOU will NOT .
I think that you can make up to 10 to 20% per month. Not more. But I think It’s still good! And it can be good if you deposit more money.
You also should invest your money into reputable FX brokers you will trade via, because scammers will try to take your money and they will probably success. I am currently trading with Roboforex and they are reputable.
YES and NO.
YES, if you are investing in your own Forex trading.
Buying knowledge about Forex, invest money for trading. It doesn’t matter if you lose your money on the 1st steps of learning and trading, This investment will bring you good knowledge and experience.
You can invest money into someone who trade on Forex, but DON’T send or give money directly to unknown person by wire transactions, etc.. Use PAMM accounts, it’s comfortable system, where you can invest money using your own account. Before investing money to PAMM traders, I recommend you to analyse their trading and make a decision where to invest.
Anyway, will you get profit or lose some money with PAMM trader – you will get knowledge about such investments.
NO, if you decide to invest money so someone directly, sending it to person by wire transaction.
If you don’t know Forex at ALL, and wish to invest money to someone for trust management – bad results and unsuccessful investment can destroy your opinion about Forex forever.
It depends what your definition of good is. If you mean is it profitable then the answer is maybe. If you mean is it enjoyable then the answer is maybe. If you mean is it easy then the answer is no.
Don't be mistaken into thinking it's easy. It can take years to get profitable and you may never actually get there. The best way to get started is to learn the basics from free sites like Babypips or ForexPeaceArmy. Both have very good training resources and an active forum where you can ask for help if you need to.
You will also need a good reliable broker (oanda or hugosway are both good choices). Don't go for brokers that offer bonuses or other kinds of sweeteners as these tend to be the less trustworthy ones.
It may be a long road but if you do manage to find a profitable strategy, you'll be able to say that yes, Forex is a good investment.
